The challenge: Reputation reinvented

Every year, the University of Sydney produces graduates and research that have a meaningful impact on local and global communities. We worked with them to reinvent their online presence in a way that truly brought their brand values of innovation and leadership to life.

By putting content at the centre of design, we delivered an online experience that would enable the university to demonstrate its care for students, investments in the future of the nation, and fulfill its ambition to be a ‘shaper’ in critical conversations about higher education.

The solution: Fusing the art and science of content and design

The science: Data-driven methodology; analysis of strategic drivers; innovative content engineering, a pioneering IA and content modelling to enable a COPE (Create Once, Publish Everywhere) approach.

The art: A content vision based on research insights, key strategic initiatives to drive content-led relationships, content-led user experience design, and a distinctive creative design that embodied the university’s new visual identity.

The results: Greater than the sum of its parts.

The re-imagined website is the University of Sydney’s first step in positioning itself as a digital pioneer. They already have plans to build upon its strong foundations to deliver personalisation, contextualisation and richer content.
