Creative Director
Back to CareersThe Creative Director (CD) is responsible for leading the creative team and advocating for the creative process. This role leads the creation of cutting edge digital experiences that look and perform superbly across platforms while upholding the client's brand, with significant involvement in pre-sales activities, generating new business, supporting proposals, and managing client relationships.
This role demands intimate knowledge with HTML5 and CSS3 technology as well as mobile platform constraints and opportunities. The Creative Director works closely with both external and internal clients driving the conceptual vision for cross-functional teams on projects that range from a few weeks to a few months in length. Strong communication, problem solving, group facilitation and process skills are a must for this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead creative team(s); create and foster a creative environment
- Participate in proposal activities
- Generate compelling concepts and managing the vision for a project, based on the needs of a client’s business, brand, and project specifications
- Develop the aesthetic/creative design of mobile websites
- Initiate communication with members of other departments and other members of development to ensure effective implementation and adherence to project demands
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of the design process, project management principles, managing client relationships, pre-sales activities, etc.
- Seven plus years experience within the design industry
- Minimum of three years experience in a client-facing role
- Minimum of two years experience managing creative initiatives
- Minimum of two years experience leading development teams and counseling junior staff
Preferred skills
- Prior agency experience
- Strong familiarity with Fireworks, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
- Effective and efficient resource use
