Deloitte has been at the centre of John Lewis’s efforts to make their commerce offering not just market leading, but market beating. Following on from helping John Lewis define the required business and technology capabilities and software to deliver their business goals we acted as the implementation partner to replace their eCommerce platform. Using creative and technical expertise from across the global Deloitte Digital network, we have implemented new eCommerce software from Oracle ATG and web content management software from Adobe CQ5 to deliver the new customer facing website.
Handling hundreds of thousands of customer visits per hour requires a world class solution. Working with John Lewis we performed a visual refresh of the John Lewis eCommerce store, managing the user experience design and the development of the front end.

Driving business performance also requires effective and efficient business tools. To enable John Lewis to manage a turn-over of more than 5000 products per week we designed and build a bespoke product information management solution. Using our innovative systems delivery methodology, which utilises behaviour driven and test driven development methods, we were able to deliver this high quality Java application in only a few months.
