2. Investing in digital transformation strategies is key to driving growth
Sam Roddick, global head of Deloitte Digital, joined Sharon Price John, Build-A-Bear CEO, and Sim Tshabalala, Standard Bank CEO, to discuss digital transformation for an evolving future. The panelists shared strategies to accelerate constant reinvention and drive sales. They emphasised that organisations should move fast, pivot accordingly, and leverage the right technology to develop new products to meet demands.
Roddick also shared compelling insights on how organisations can avoid the pitfall of scaling digital transformation strategies before understanding the problems they are trying to solve. By Prioritising the needs and motivations that drive customer demand, organisations can transform to meet customer where they are and anticipate where they will want to be in future.
The three days were filled with sessions that covered a broad range of topics reflective of Salesforce's core values - trust, customer success, innovation, equality and sustainability, and this is where Deloitte Digital shows up well.
In the Dreampitch session hosted by Salesforce and Deloitte Digital with a panel of judges and Deloitte Digital Chief Commercial Officer Dounia Senawi, UpLink ecopreneurs shared pitches on innovative and sustainable businesses and insights into how their work is benefiting people and the planet.
