Femicide claims more victims than we think
Femicide is a horrific crime that has reached alarming levels in Italy, with one woman killed every three days. Adding to this tragedy are the orphans left behind - children who often face the double trauma of losing their mother and having their father imprisoned. How can we raise awareness among institutions and the public to ensure these children receive the support they need?
"Don't let orphans of femicide become victims of indifference"
This is the message behind our campaign, which highlights how the children of femicide victims are also victims - if left without care and support. What may at first seem like a moment of play takes on a deeper, darker meaning when we realize the child is tracing a body outline, reminiscent of a crime scene. Fortunately, we can prevent this future by making sure they’re not left alone.
