There was hardly a free seat available by the time Salesforce Marketing Cloud CEO, Scott McCorkle, kicked off the marketing keynote this morning with a rousing medley of case studies from major brands demonstrating the effectiveness of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud suite of publishing, predictive and analytics tools.
He said the key to personalized content across devices was to leverage cloud, social, mobile, data science and IoT to create connected experiences that mattered to consumers and created advocates for the brand. Compelling customer stories from the big brands like Mattel, Room & Board and AT&T on stage saw this kind of approach yielding 22% rise in engagement for email campaigns and 600% rise in conversion rates for some companies.
Over at the AMC Theater Deloitte Digital Principals Julie Miller and Tracie Kambies, along with Partner Andrea Laurenza and Director Mansi Patel, kicked off the communication track of the day by sharing insights on customer engagement in today’s digital age. Digital technologies have enabled consumers to lead their own shopping journey. According to one of our studies, 84% of customers are using digital for shopping related activities before or during their most recent trip to a store.
Joined by Umberto Angelucci, CTO at Sky, the speakers discussed how new platforms, such as EngageMe, a customer engagement platform powered by Deloitte Digital and Salesforce, can help retailers and businesses connect and engage with their consumers more effectively and efficiently.
In Dounia Lievan and John Wang’s session on the Disruptive Forces in Banking, we learned that the future banking model extends beyond traditional boundaries. In fact, to best deal with the disruption we are seeing, they urge us to adapt both a new mindset and approach to banking. In particular, they see opportunity in three main areas: customer-driven digital marketing, digital channels solutions and architecture, and front-to-back office digitization. After John gave a highly engaging interactive demo of our #ConnectedBank app, Dounia shared what Deloitte Digital has done with our ecosystem of partners that integrate with Salesforce, including nCino, Medallia, and Sprinklr. Banking has never been quite this exciting!
