When a non-profit in the Northeast had concerns about their existing NetSuite implementation, they reached out to Deloitte Digital’s Cloud ERP & Integration practice to seek guidance on the path forward. In three weeks, the Deloitte team performed a full analysis of the client’s NetSuite environment and identified pain points from critical finance and accounting groups. The team focused on short- and long-term recommendations to optimize their current NetSuite environment and provide a vision for the future.
Deloitte discovered several issues that were limiting the organization’s ability to expand and maintain key financial processes, such as foreign currencies. The team recommended a complete subsidiary and financial segment redesign; remediation would not have solved the problems. The team also discovered several pain points related to the company’s accounts receivable and “order-to-cash” processes. We recommended a complete A/R process redesign to streamline internal processes and reduce customer complaints, with a goal to increase customer satisfaction.
The Deloitte team’s approach was grounded by the use of leading practices and deep knowledge of NetSuite. A combination of workshops, process documentation reviews, and interviews with stakeholders helped the team understand the current state. Upon evaluation and analysis of the environment, Deloitte determined 84 “pain points”, with 30 percent representing issues that could be remedied with a low level of effort.
As a direct result of Deloitte’s ability to respond to a CFO’s request for a deeper dive, the client is now moving forward with actionable improvements for an optimized instance of NetSuite using leading practices and a streamlined solution.
