Serving small business better with customized, convenient coverage

AssureStart wanted to provide an online experience that would make it easier for entrepreneurs to find–and buy–the coverage their business needed. With their dynamic, user-friendly site, customers now can across devices from anywhere.


Small businesses are a diverse group with unique insurance requirements that AssureStart believed was underserved by big-box insurance companies. They wanted to provide an online experience that would make it easier for entrepreneurs to find – and buy – the coverage their business needed. Their plan was to begin by selling liability insurance to a handful of states before expanding nationwide, as well as eventually provide small business solutions for similarly neglected areas like worker’s compensation and commercial auto insurance.

Deloitte Digital worked closely with Mastek, who provided the back-end platform, to translate the complex insurance data and service calls into a REST service layer to support the site. On the front end, we focused on functional UX and clean design – using a “content first” approach – to develop a responsive site that’s easy for customers to use while still meeting regulatory requirements.


We delivered a dynamic, user-friendly site that can grow with the company as they develop and expand their offerings. Equally functional across devices, the site lets customers customize, purchase, and manage their small business policy from anywhere.
