Deloitte kicks off three action-packed days at DellWorld in Austin, Texas this week (Oct. 20-22) with highlights that include a special presentation on “Business Chemistry to Women in Technology,” CloudMix in the virtual-stream spotlight, and a panel session to help techies transition to the Internet of Things. As the home of the South-by-Southwest conference and the most progressive city in the Lone Star State, Austin offers an atmosphere that literally hums on its own. With the recent news of Dell’s merger with EMC, the Austin Convention Center is likely to be humming and buzzing.
Deloitte’s Kim Christfort, who heads Deloitte’s Leadership Center for Clients Group, will be a featured speaker at the “Women in Technology” session on Tuesday afternoon. The special presentation will dive into the science of business chemistry — a personality system that draws upon the latest analytics technologies to reveal four scientifically based patterns of behavior. The system is designed to provide insights about individuals and teams based on observable business behaviors. Every female registrant to DellWorld has been invited to attend.
Deloitte Digital’s CloudMix solution is on a roadshow of its own. Fresh from DreamForce, the spotlight will be on CloudMix when the DellWorldLive team broadcasts a Q&A session with Deloitte Cloud specialists at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The dynamic 15-minute session will be broadcast on jumbo screens throughout the expo floor and can be viewed through the #DellWorldLive virtual stream. During the conference, attendees can visit the Deloitte kiosk to see demonstrations on CloudMix, the solution that incorporates Dell Boomi and simplifies the complexity of Cloud application mix.
The conference finale features a panel session, the “Future of the Connected World,” with Deloitte’s guru on the Internet of Things (IoT), Michael Raynor, director at Deloitte’s Center for Integrated Research. Dell founder and chairman on the board, Michael Dell will introduce the session, and an NPR host will facilitate. The panel session will cut through the hype of IoT and help customers leverage existing equipment and data to make the most of current technology investments as they progress into the complexity of IoT.
